    Why didn’t I try these earlier?

    Well, if I had $$ for an order, they were sold out, and vice versa, that’s why.

    Just as “oil cakes” are different from cakes made with butter, there’s a difference in the finished product.

    I really enjoyed these, and they’ll be a regular order. As the daughter of a Lebanese immigrants’ daughter, I grew up using olive oil, not the clear tasteless “salad oil”. Pita bread, then called Syrian bread, had to be found in specialty stores, and the only fruit paste snacks, from the Middle-East, were apricot & came in flat circles.

    The olive oil makes this more a savory snack for wine than for hot caffeinated drinks, although it’s nice with sweet wines and fortified wines.

    Like another reviewer, I prefer your usual biscotti tub to these clam shells, for the same reason, but I dislike clamshell packaging, period.

    A different reviewer suggested adding an orange option to these biscotti. I also vote for Amalfi Coast lemon zest—if you can get it.
